NBC 7’s Rory Devine heard a young student’s thoughts on the COVID-19 vaccine.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday approved BioNTech and Pfizer’s request to administer COVID-19 vaccines to children aged 12-15 in emergency cases but that doesn’t mean the shots will immediately be available to other members of that age group in San Diego County.

The FDA approved COVID-19 vaccines in emergency use for kids 12 to 15, but an approval process must first take place before young San Diegans can get their shots. NBC 7’s Audra Stafford has more on what you need to know.
