USS Midway Museum

The USS Midway Museum and the Port of San Diego will break ground Thursday on Freedom Park at Navy Pier, a project proponents say will be the largest veterans park on the West Coast.

The USS Midway Museum will deck out the carrier from bow to stern Friday with hundreds of thousands of twinkling and shimmering lights to celebrate this year’s holidays with “Jingle Jets,” a festive lighting experience.

A ceremony was held aboard USS Midway Museum to honor U.S. veterans who battled in the Vietnam War.
