Russia attacked a military base in Ukraine near the Polish border killing at least 35 people and wounding more than 100, according to Ukrainian officials.

Army officials said in a statement Sunday night that Jennifer Sewell, a soldier on the Texas base who was missing, has been located and is safe.

The lockdown at Washington, D.C.’s Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling was lifted after an armed man was taken into custody.
