For years, cars and people have crossed the courtyard at the Westin Gaslamp Hotel and made their way around the hotel's fountain. This week, cranes and cones blocked off the area while the hotel began renovations in the guest arrival area.

The removal of the familiar blue tower and dolphin fountain piece is part of the Westin Gaslamp's recent refresh of the its meeting and event space.
