The saxophone-led dance/jazz group Moon Hooch blew their way through the world-famous Casbah recently.

After forming in Brooklyn, New York in 2010, Moon Hooch got their start by busking in NYC Subway stations.

The members of the band met while attending the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2013 and peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.

Their second album, “This Is Cave Music,” was released on Sept. 16, 2014. They followed that with "Red Sky" in 2016, the "Joshua Tree" EP in 2017, a "Live at the Cathedral" album later that year -- and their newest effort, an EP titled "Light It Up" in 2018.

Elena Shirin helped open the show and is an Austrian rooted singer, songwriter and photographer.

Hometown producer/singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Lavender Fields also performed. Her latest album, "Music Beyond Music," was released last June and has since followed it with a new EP titled "Gravitude."
