4 Pets Still Unclaimed from Lilac Fire

The Carlsbad Animal Services shelter reported four animals remain unclaimed after the Lilac Fire.

A three-year-old male Chihuahua /Terrier mix was taken in on December 8 from Valle Del Sol. He was unharmed except for smoke exposure. The owner has until December 22 to claim him, otherwise he will be adopted. There are already two adoption holds for him.
A three-year-old male Spaniel suffered burns on and between his foot pads, which could take weeks or months to completely heal. He was found on Via Montellano. The owner has until December 24 to claim him.
A one-year-old female cat was found in Fallbrook at the Rancho Monserate manufactured home community. Her whiskers were singed off, and she has burns on her paws, but her paws are healing. She is friendly and attention-loving, according to the shelter. The owner has until December 24 to claim her.
A 10-year-old turkey named Violet has yet to be claimed. Some of her feathers were singed in the fire, but she remains unharmed. The owner has until December 24 to claim her.
