Fireworks and the 4th of July go hand in hand and for nearly five years Fallbrook's annual “Grand Tradition July 4th” fundraiser has brought its audience a great show. The tickets cost $25 and that even includes dinner to go along with the view.
To start the day off early, try Mira Mesa’s 7 a.m. 4th of July pancake breakfast at Epicentre. Then at 11 a.m. the city will host “Fun Day at the Park”, an all day event. At 1 p.m. the parade starts featuring high school bands, cars, business and local organizations. Admission is free to the parade. For more info check the city website.

Pets can get in on the fun too. University City is celebrating with not only a parade for humans but for our four legged friends. Besides that, there's also a rock walk, scavenger hunt, jumpers and more planned. Take a look at the cities' website for more info.

For the perfect way to cool down, try the Independence Day ice cream social in Scripps Ranch at Hoyt Park. To go along with the treats there's also going to be a DJ, face painting, parade and more. It all starts at 11 a.m.

The Marine Band of San Diego will perform in Escondido’s annual Independence Day Celebration, with a fireworks display following the show. The event will take place at Grape Day Park and starts at 4 p.m.
Loosen up those slacks because Old Town is throwing a pie-eating contest. The fun doesn't stop there though; the afternoon will also include period games, wagon rides, music and more. The event runs from 11 to 4:00 p.m.

Boaters are going to unite for the Yankee Doodle Dinghy Parade at North Harbor Jetty and Oceanside Yacht Club. The decorated boats will parade around the harbor decked out in patriotic gear from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Fireworks will light up the water at Ocean Beach's 31st Annual Fireworks off the Pier. Organizer's say the event will start at 9 p.m. "OB" time and will last a whole 25 minutes ending with a finale you won't forget. The celebration happens along side the Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off Festival which starts June 26th.

Shamu and friends plan on getting into the patriotic spirit during SeaWorld’s Shamu’s SkySplash USA, a fireworks show set to music. The show kicks off at 9:30 p.m.
The White House
Socialize and enjoy the scenery over light hors'd oeuvres and a cash bar at the 4th of July Fireworks Viewing and Sunset sail on tallship Californian. When the sun sets the fireworks will begin, providing a great view of the night sky. Tickets are $40 - $75 and the night starts at 6:30 p.m.

If you love rock 'n' roll then head over to the San Diego County Fair to see icon Joan Jett and the Blackhearts perform live at 9:30 p.m. For tickets and info check out the fair's website.
BYOB, your own bike that is, to the 24th Annual July 4th Scripps Ranch Bike Rides. Once your there you can choose between the 50, 28 or 12 mile ride. The event will start at 7 a.m. on Hibert Street and Scripps Ranch Blvd.

You can run, walk or rough-water swim during Coronado’s Fourth of July Celebration. The day also includes parade, concert, Art-in-the-Park and fireworks over the bay in Glorietta. This year’s parade will take place on July 3rd and the fireworks are July 4th. For info check out the cities’ website.
The lawn program in Balboa Park will celebrate with an event hosted by House of United States that will feature food, country line dancing, singing, bands and more. The event runs from 2 to 3 p.m. and is free for all ages.
Dinner on a yacht sound good? Try the 4th of July Fireworks Dinner Cruise put on by Hornblower Cruises & Events. To sweeten the deal you’ll also get amazing views of the San Diego Bay and 4th of July fireworks. It all takes place on the luxury yacht Inspiration Hornblower. The 4th of July comes to the San Diego County Fair with a patriotic opening ceremony starting around 9:30 a.m. at the O’Brien Gate. Then gates will open at 10 a.m. with fun for every age including the best rides, food and entertainment the fair is known for.
