Things to Do in July

The weekends take over July. This month will have more weekends than any other month in the summer. Here’s a weekend guide to jump and jive throughout July.

JULY 23: Superheroes, villains and sidekicks are all together in San Diego one time a year. Comic Con international brings out comic fans from all over the world. Expect to see comics, capes, and celebrity appearances throughout the weekend.

JULY 24: The Del Mar racetrack is having the biggest family fun day of the summer. Sunday family fun day will have a horse giveaway, inflatable jumpers, face painting, pony rides, and more. Admission is free for kids 17 and under and adults are $6 and starts at 1 p.m.
JULY 29: Fast, furious and free! Cruisin Grand is where car lovers can check out more than 500 cars line up the streets of downtown Escondido. Cruise nights are every Friday night until September 30 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
JULY 30: The Del Mar concert scene and summer series brings in reggae artist Ziggy Marley. Ziggy Marley’s concert will salute and honor Legends of Reggae, including his father and reggae icon Bob Marley. Ticket info
JULY 30: Tails will be waggin all the way to the 3rd annual Doggie Street Festival at the Liberty Station in Point Loma. The event will have all your dogs’ needs covered from dog clothes, training, pet sitting services, and grooming. Admission is free and starts at 9 a.m.
