‘Intergalactic Dreaming’ Exhibition Opens at San Diego International Airport

The San Diego International Airport has unveiled a new, space-centric art exhibition dubbed “Intergalactic Dreaming.”

The temporary display – with pieces up all over the airport – is inspired by the exploration of the cosmos and astronomy.

The exhibition is part of this year’s Airport Arts Program, which aims to engage travelers through temporary exhibitions, public art and performing arts unique to the culture of our city.

“A key goal of the airport’s Arts Program is to find creative ways to showcase the talent and cultural community of San Diego, and one way we accomplish that is through our temporary exhibitions program,” said Thella F. In this installation, art enthusiasts will find a piano adorned with the artwork of Sheena Rae Dowling. Travelers can stop and play the piano, too.
