Fun fact: Their original name was Legacy but they were forced to change their name to Testament because the "Legacy" name was already trademarked by a jazz band.

The band's current lineup consists of guitarist Eric Peterson, vocalist Chuck Billy, lead guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio and drummer Gene Hoglan.

Since its inception, Testament has had numerous lineup changes, leaving Peterson as the only constant member. Billy (pictured) replaced original singer Steve "Zetro" Souza (who left the band to join Exodus as the replacement for Paul Baloff) in 1986, prior to the recording of their first studio album and has been a member of the band since.
