SoCal pop-punk icons Face to Face obliterated the Casbah on May 6, with help from Bad Cop/Bad Cop.

The group began after Keith, and original bass player Matt Riddle, drummer Rob Kurth and guitarist Mark Haake formed Zero Tolerance. In 1991, they changed their name to Face to Face, and Haake left the band.

They played frequently throughout Southern California and quickly rose to prominence within the burgeoning punk scene – which, at that time, included bands like the Offspring, Guttermouth, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and more.

The band released their first album, “Don’t Turn Away” in 1992, which was followed by “Big Choice” in ’95. That’s when the band rose to national prominence – their song “Disconnected” became a huge radio hit.

In 1995, Riddle left the band and was replaced by Scott Shiflett (whose brother, Chris Shiflett, plays guitar in Foo Fighters).

The band went through more lineup changes over the following years, and in 2003, after headlining the previous year’s Warped Tour, they went on an official hiatus.

In 2008, drummer Danny Thompson joined the newly reunited band on drums and they announced a short U.S. tour.

Guitarist Dennis Hill joined in 2009 as a touring member and has since joined the band full time. After the band's return from hiatus, they’ve released three new albums and toured extensively. Their latest record, “Protection,” was released last year.
