Police are asking for the public's assistance in catching a bank robber who robbed a Carlsbad bank and fled with skateboard.

The suspect entered the Wells Fargo bank on El Camino Real in Carlsbad just before 11 a.m. on Monday, according to a release from the FBI.

The suspect approached the teller and presented a note demanding cash. The teller cooperated and gave him the money.

The suspect walked out the door carrying a skateboard. Witnesses describe him as about 5'9'' tall, 175 pounds in his late 20s to early 30s. He has a medium build and is cleanly shaven. At the time, he was wearing all black clothing.

No injuries were reported and no weapon was observed.
