Chance of Thunderstorm

Grab an umbrella (just in case) and something warm.

There is a 30 percent chance of rain late Thursday afternoon and possibly an isolated thunderstorm, according to forecasters.

And baby, it’s cold outside.

“Today will be mostly cloudy, with highs in the upper 50s,” said meteorologist Jodi Kodesh.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m.

“We'll see passing clouds, maybe a few showers, and possibly an isolated thunderstorm between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.,” said Kodesh.

The showers are expected to clear up by Tuesday morning. But the winds may pick up.

“Tuesday, as the little system passes south and east of us, periods of strong northeast winds may develop, though the National Weather Service has yet to issue any wind warnings or advisories,” said Kodesh.

The temperatures should warm up a little through midweek and then jump up higher in time for the weekend.

“In fact, just in time for St. Nick, San Diego will return to the low 70s, a nice gift, considering that puts us above our seasonal average,” said Kodesh.
