United States Postal Service to Hold ‘Passport Fairs' at Carmel Mountain Location

Applicants will have the option of applying for the passport book, the passport card or both without an appointment

No appointment? no problem!

First-time passport applicants will be able to get a passport without an appointment during two passport fairs at the United States Postal Service (USPS) Carmel Mountain location.

Applicants will have the option of applying for the passport book, the passport card or both on Feb. 9 and 16.

Applicants must show either a valid driver’s license, a previous or current U.S. passport book or card, Certificate of Naturalization, Certificate of Citizenship, military I.D. or a federal, state or municipal government employee I.D. card.

For the documents needed to apply for a passport or to download forms, visit their website.

Passport fees, $30 for the card and $110 for the book, will need to be paid with a personal check, or money orders.

There will be an additional charge of $35 for processing fees which can be paid for by cash, personal check or card.

The Carmel Mountain postal office, which is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., will also offer passport photo services during the fairs.
