A 10-acre brush fire is burning in the De Luz area of Fallbrook at Conquistador Road, Cal Fire confirmed. The fire, which is not currently threatening homes, started around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
In a tweet, North County Fire said as a precaution residents should be ready to evacuate if necessary.
The fire was moving north of Sandia Creek, but the forward rate of spread has been stopped.
Cal Fire reported at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday that the fire was 20 percent contained.
Approximately 150 firefighters were engaged with the fire at one time, Cal Fire said.
The fire was 75 percent contained by 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, according to Cal Fire.

The cause of the fire was a result of defensible space clearance activities, Cal Fire Captain Isaac Sanchez said.
