A Vista woman is accused of stabbing her husband in the chest with a steak knife, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said Monday.
Christena Potter, 46, turned herself in Monday and was booked on one count of attempted murder, deputies said.
Potter is accused of stabbing her husband at the couple's home on Flower Lane shortly after midnight Sunday, deputies said.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for what officials described as a non-life threatening stab wound to the chest.
The person was conscious and breathing when he was taken to the hospital, deputies said.
Investigators said they have not determined a motive for the stabbing.
One neighbor who did not want to be identified because she was too afraid said she wasn't a bit surprised by what happened.
"There's lots of things that go on around here," she said. "There's been lots of incidents. It doesn't surprise me at all."
