Missing Santee Boy Found Safe

A missing boy from Santee has been found safe, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Officials said Harbor Police found 12-year-old Eric Alexander Cheyssial downtown Tuesday night.

Cheyssial was reported missing earlier in the day. He had last been seen walking home from Pride Academy in the 9300-block of Prospect Ave. around 2 p.m., according to officials.

A command post was established at Rio Seco School at 9545 Cuyamaca St. Deputies searched the area around the school and made announcements from the ASTREA helicopter in the air.

Eric was described 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Officials said they did not believe Eric had been abducted.
