The 2016 NFL regular season schedule is out and the Chargers will begin the season on the road in Kansas City on the 15 year anniversary of 9/11.
After opening against the Chiefs, San Diegoโs first home game comes the following week against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 18th.
Former Chargers quarterback Drew Brees returns to Qualcomm Stadium when the Saints visit in week 4 on Sunday, October 2nd.
San Diego also hosts Denver, Tennessee, Miami, Tampa Bay and Oakland before closing the year at home on New Yearโs Day against the Chiefs.
Every Chargers game will be on a Sunday with the exception of the home game against Denver on Thursday, October 13th.
Among the notable road contests, the Bolts will visit former Broncos QB Brock Osweiler and his new Texans team during Thanksgiving weekend and later head to Carolina to play the NFC Champion Panthers in week 14 in early December.
