Family Finds Elderly Relatives Dead With ‘Traumatic Injuries' in Home on Thanksgiving

Two elderly Bonita residents were found dead by a family member checking in on them on Thanksgiving, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Just before 3 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a 911 call about two bodies found in a home along Pray Street.

The victims – a man and woman in their 80s – had “traumatic injuries,” according to deputies.

A family member checked in on the couple after not hearing from them for several days.

Deputies said the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will soon positively identify the victims and determine a cause of death.

SDSO’s Homicide Unit responded and is now leading the investigation.
