Alex Rozier is an award-winning general assignment reporter who joined NBC4 in 2022 and reports weekdays on the NBC4 News at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Rozier comes to NBC4 from Dallas, Texas where he was a reporter from 2019 to 2022 at ABC affiliate WFAA-TV. He previously reported in several other markets including KOMU-TV News in Columbia, Missouri, and NBC affiliates KHQ-TV in Spokane, Washington from 2011 to 2014 and KING-TV in Seattle, Washington from 2014 to 2019.
The award-winning reporter has an extensive background, covering major stories that include the mass shooting at the Walmart in El, Paso, Texas and Super Bowl 49 in Arizona, to name a few. In 2017, Rozier made international headlines as the journalist who stepped off an Amtrak train in Washington minutes before it derailed.
Rozier has earned nine Emmy awards and three Edward R. Murrow awards. He has had a lifelong passion for journalism and storytelling that started as far back as a child when he first asked his mother to introduce him to the local news anchor in Minneapolis, who continues to be his mentor to this day.
As a Minnesota native and University of Missouri graduate, Rozier is dedicated to philanthropy, particularly supporting the LGBTQ+ community. He is also a self-proclaimed foodie and loves to sing.
Rozier currently resides in Los Angeles with his partner.
