La Jolla Motel Put on Lockdown after Shooting

    San Diego police responded to a shooting at a motel in the Bird Rock community Sunday night.

    According to police, a man was shot twice in the lower abdomen outside his room. The victim's condition is unknown.

    The shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. at the Biltmore Motel, located in the 5300 block of La Jolla Blvd.

    Police said the motel was placed on lockdown. There is no word yet on any arrests.

    Back in August, another man was shot at the same motel. Neighbors told NBC 7 that the motel had been attracting trouble.
