Thrill Seekers Ready for New Ride

Six Flags Magic Mountain to debut a new coaster Spring 2009

On Memorial Day Weekend 2009, Six Flags Magic Mountain is set to debut a new thrill ride roller coaster, "Terminator: The Coaster",  bringing the total number of coasters at the Valencia theme park to 16.

This new roller coaster project is based off the movie series and is scheduled for its debut to coincide with “Terminator Salvation”, the fourth installment of the "Terminator" franchise.

"Designed around the theme of the successful `Terminator' movie brand, this ride will draw thrill seekers from around the world," said Jay Thomas, president of Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The $10 million project will feature a combination of six speed-banked turns and five stomach-dropping hills with different on-board sensory elements through 2,850 feet of track.  It will be only the second wooden coaster constructed at the park.
