Few cities have more friends on the social media site than America's Finest City.
With more than 400 million active users and 70 available translations, it comes as no surprise that Facebook has staged a worldwide takeover. Facebook’s official statistics offered through their media page offer an insight as to just how much of an effect Facebook has on populations at home and abroad.
Where does that put San Diego? The city was ranked eighth on Mashable.com’s Top 10 Cities and Facebook Users list, with just over half of its total population being Facebook users. According to Mashable, more than one-third of the entire United States population are Facebook users.
Facebook shows no signs of stopping. Since more than 300,000 users have helped to translate the site, one can only imagine number of Facebook users living abroad (currently 70 percent of the 400 million now signed up) is bound to continue its growth.
