Hochuli Rule:
The NFL competition committee will look into the botched call that cost the Chargers a win last season in Denver. When the ball comes lose, replay can be used to determine if it's an incomplete pass or fumble.
Call it the Hochuli rule. What's needed is a replay czar. Get someone with some common sense to right an obvious wrong. Which was the case in Denver.
Chargers Secondary
Of course it would have helped if the secondary could have stopped someone early in the season. They need a thumper in the secondary.
All remains quiet on the western front when it comes to free agent signings. General Manager A.J. Smith was saying the other day; this is just the "first wave" of activity. There is still a lot of time to get things done.

Lusk, 24, a West Hills High alum, was a freestyle motocross rider who was killed in a competition accident on Feb. 9 in Costa Rica. Lusk won a gold medal in freestyle and silver medal in best trick at the 2008 X Games.
The Lusk Legacy Foundation is accepting donations and has numerous items for sale, including a Jeremy Lusk action print signed by the Temecula-based Mulisha.
The foundation will attempt to achieve a higher standard of safety at freestyle motocross events and “embodies positive values, such as courage, individualism and family.”
The Hall of Champions sports museum is located at 2131 Pan American Plaza in Balboa Park. Memorabilia from the San Diegan’s career on display will include the rider’s bike, gear and trophies.
