3 Bodies Found in Vista Home, Death Investigation Launched: SDSO

San Diego County Sheriffโ€™s Department (SDSO) deputies launched a death investigation into three bodies found in a Vista home Thursday.

At around 10:15 a.m., deputies received word there had been a death in the 200 block of Vista Glen near Eucalyptus Avenue. Three hours later, officials remained at the scene collecting evidence.

Sheriff's deputies said that a neighbor was the one who called 911.

Homicide detectives were also called to the scene.

Initial evidence indicates the deaths may have been overdoses, SDSO Homicide Lt. Rylaarsdam said.

NBC 7 spoke with one woman who said she could not believe there was a potential overdose case in their neighborhood.

"A shock. It's a family oriented neighborhood so you don't expect that to happen," said neighbor Emilee Schmidt.

Another woman, who didn't want to be identified, said she has noticed what she described as "a lot of people coming in and out" of the home often.

The Medical Examiner will conduct a toxicology report.

No further details were immediately released.
