They're handing out cigars at the Wild Animal Park this week.
A male elephant calf was born at 3:16 a.m. to mother Umngani at the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park.
The addition of the newborn raises the population of African elephants at the park to 12.
The rest of the herd will get a chance to meet the baby over the next few days.
The typical African elephant takes 22 months to gestate.
