An 89-year-old at-risk man, missing for more than 24 hours in the Del Cerro neighborhood of San Diego, was found Thursday night.
According to the San Diego Police Department, Charles Jacobson was last seen Wednesday at approximately 7 p.m. at his home on Overlake Avenue near Ridgemoor Drive.
He was found in a canyon behind a neighbor's home. While he was talking with rescue personnel, he appeared to be dehydrated and suffering from several cuts on his legs.
Jacobson suffers from an early onset of dementia. His nephew reported him missing to police.
He did not have a history of walking away from his home and he didn't have access to a vehicle, police said.
