La Mesa Shooting Leaves Woman Wounded

Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman wounded in La Mesa.

La Mesa PD received a call around 6:15 p.m. about a shooting at the 3000 block of Harris Street to assist a woman that had called 911 to report that she had been shot in the leg. 

The woman was given first aid until paramedics arrived on scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials confirmed.

La Mesa PD requested a shelter in place for residents that was lifted an hour later.

No arrests have been made.
