Former San Diego television news anchor David Davis has died, according to a report to his long-time station, KUSI News.
Davis retired earlier this year after spending 15 years at the news station as a reporter and anchor on both the morning and evening news.
KUSI reported Davis died in a motorcycle accident in Dallas, while the former reporter was on a cross-country trip.
Davis studied Communication at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville before working at news stations across the country, including at WISN 12 News in Wisconsin, KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas, and KREX-TV in Colorado, according to his Facebook page.
Davis is survived by his wife, Staci, and his two children.
