The Chargers won't have their Hall of Fame tight end or their starting left tackle on Sunday against the Colts, and they're still probably in better physical shape than Indy.
It was expected that Antonio Gates would not be available for Sunday's game at Lucas Oil Stadium as he nurses a hamstring injury. But King Dunlap is also sitting out. He was battling an illness during the week and is still sick enough to sit out. Dunlap will be replaced in the starting lineup up Tyreek Burwell. The full list of Chargers inactives:
LT King Dunlap
S Jahleel Addae
DE Joey Bosa
NT Ryan Carrethers
TE Antonio Gates
C Max Tuerk
ILB Joshua Perry
Safety Adrian Phillips will start for Addae, who is recovering from surgery for a broken collarbone. Sean McGrath starts for Gates.
The Colts will have QB Andrew Luck, who was listed as questionable with an injury to his throwing shoulder. But he'll be missing some of his offensive help. Wide receiver Donte Moncrief and right guard Denzelle Good are out. On defense the Colts are missing former Chargers corner Patrick Robinson, who will be replaced by former Chargers corner Antonio Cromartie. The full list of Colts inactives:
WR Donte Moncrief
CB Darius Butler
CB Patrick Robinson
OT Le'Raven Clark
OG Denzelle Good
WR Devin Street
DT T.Y. McGill
The Chargers and Colts kick off with the roof closed at Lucas Oil Stadium at 1:25 San Diego time.
