San Diego police arrested a person accused of attempting to rob several stores Monday and threatening store clerks with a meat cleaver.
A man went on a "mini crime spree" on C Street near the trolley tracks, police said.
He tried to rob two pharmacy and a shipping store.
Employees confronted the suspect but backed off when they saw the meat cleaver.
No one was hurt.
The suspect was arrested a block away.
