Brush Fire Extinguished in Miramar

A brush fire burned on MCAS Miramar's base Thursday, according to officials.

The blaze started around 9:30 a.m. CAL Fire and San Diego Fire Department also sent crews to assist with the blaze.

The cause of the fire was caused by training from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Marines on an East Miramar range, according to an MCAS spokesperson.

There were no evacuations or injuries.
