For this year’s theme, San Diego County Fair organizers are pulling out all the stops. They’re offering up $50,000 to find the top musical talent in the nation.
Musicpalooza, as the contest is dubbed, is open to bands or soloists from anywhere in the United States or Baja California.
You have until March 31st to enter.
The first round of judging will be decided based on mp3 submissions. The second round of judging will be based on music videos from the semi-finalists.
Some of those contestants will perform live at the San Diego County Fair on July 3, 2009 at the Grandstand stage.
There are two categories – soloist and bands. The winner in each category will earn a $25,000 prize.
