Jackie Bradford was named President and General Manager of NBC 7/39 in February 2008. The former Finance Director for WRC, NBC Universal’s owned-and-operated television station in Washington, DC, is now responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of NBC 7/39, San Diego’s only owned-and- operated network television station. Bradford also oversees all of NBC 7/39’s digital platforms.
Bradford joined WRC in 2000 as the station’s Finance Director. She also served as WRC’s Co-Growth Leader, working closely with WRC President and General Manager Michael Jack in identifying new revenue and partnership opportunities for the station. Prior to Bradford’s role at WRC, she was an e-Business Leader with GE Capital Real Estate Services from 1998 to 2000.
Bradford joined GE in 1995 as a member of the company’s prestigious Financial Management Program, during which time she held various financial positions with GE Real Estate, GE Money and Corporate Treasury. She began her career working on Capitol Hill for Nevada Senator Richard Bryan. Bradford graduated from the University of Virginia in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
Since joining NBC 7/39, Bradford was honored with a prestigious nomination to the board of directors for the Regional San Diego Chamber of Commerce. She has also been appointed to numerous boards in the community including the United Way of San Diego County and the YMCA of San Diego County. Bradford is also a member of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation.
Jackie Bradford has been promoted to President and General Manager of WRC, NBC’s owned station in Washington, DC. A replacement for Jackie at KNSD will be announced at a later date, and until then she’ll continue to oversee the station.
