โ€˜Have It All': Jason Mraz to Release New Film, Album

Famed SD singer/songwriter Jason Mraz is set to take over the silver screen -- and drop a new album

Hats off to you if you've been able to keep up with all the news coming out of Jason Mraz's camp lately. The famed Grammy Award-winning, fedora-clad singer, songriter, philanthropist and Broadway actor -- who got his start right here in San Diego coffeehouses -- has been involved in all sorts of recent headlines.

Perhaps, most notably, is the upcoming release of a new documentary-style film titled "Jason Mraz: Have It All The Movie." The one-night-only Fathom Events feature will premiere across the country in select cinemas on Tuesday, Aug. 7 (most showings will be at 7 p.m. local standard time) and pre-order tickets are currently on sale.

The film, which consists of behind-the-scenes footage, performances and previously unseen/unheard Mraz content, coincides with the release of his new studio album, "Know," which drops on Aug. 10.

โ€œIโ€™m excited to share my creative evolution with fans far and wide through this special in-theater event," Mraz said in a press release. "It's a family film with the uplifting message of inclusion and collaboration through a special behind-the-scenes look into the auspicious creation of 'Have It All.'โ€

To tie it all together, online and mobile "Have It All" ticket purchasers (through Atom Ticketing or Cinemark) will receive a digital download of the album when it's released.

Local theaters currently scheduled to premiere the documentary include AMC Mission Valley 20, Regal Horton Plaza 8, Regal Mira Mesa Stadium 18, AMC La Jolla Village 12, AMC Plaza Bonita 14, Regal Escondido Stadium 16, and Regal San Marcos Stadium 18. That's not all on the Mraz front though: On Wednesday, Toronto's RBCxMusic benefit concert for Kids Help Phone -- that was scheduled to take place on July 29 with Demi Lovato and Mraz -- was canceled after she was admitted to the hospital for an apparent drug overdose. Fortunately, recent news reports claim that the singer is stable at this time and currently recovering.

In what should raise his fans' spirits a bit, Mraz released the latest single off his upcoming album -- a collaboration with pop star Meghan Trainor titled "More Than Friends" -- on Friday morning. Check out the lyric video below and pre-order the new album here.
