What are you waiting for? Jump up onstage with the band and sing your heart out!

Steel Rod, a cover band based out of L.A., has been playing together for more than a decade. About six years ago, they added a “sing with” portion to their show. Since so many loyal fans had been packing each venue, singing along and even jumping up onstage with the band for years, the guys started giving their diehard fans a chance to take the spotlight -- and the microphone.

Now, the band dedicates a show once a week to live karaoke. As if a karaoke show needs more comic relief, the guys added a host to get the crowd fired up.

Steel Rod has done more than the average band, performing everything from USO tours to corporate events to radio-sponsored singing competitions to  weddings to cruise-line gigs to TV shows and more. The guys perform well over 300 times a year and bring a high level of showmanship to every event, and you can expect nothing less at Belly Up show on Thursday.

The show starts at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $10, with $1 from every ticket sold going to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization.
