Reopenings Follow Renovations at Local Denny's Restaurants

Denny’s restaurants in Oceanside and National City are among locations recently being remodeled and reopened as part of a companywide renovation program.

The restaurant at 487 Harbor Drive in Oceanside will officially reopen May 15, after getting a full refurbishing that included new booths, tables, chairs and light fixtures, a company spokeswoman said.

The Oceanside restaurant’s new floor tiles are designed to replicate the look and feel of hardwood, and the location has received new landscaping and a fresh coat of interior and exterior paint.

Similar changes were recently made at the Denny’s in National City, which reopened May 8 at 424 W. Mile of Cars Way. Company officials said 70 percent of Denny’s restaurants systemwide will be remodeled by 2018.

South Carolina-based Denny’s Corp. operates approximately 1,700 franchised, licensed and company-owned restaurants, with 30 locations in San Diego County.
