A registered sex offender pleaded guilty Thursday to five counts of indecent exposure in connection with a series of reports involving high school girls in the North County.

San Diego Police arrested David Allen Kemper, 52, in Mira Mesa on March 25.

For the past two years, officers have received reports of a man exposing himself to high-school aged girls walking to school in Rancho Bernardo and Mira Mesa, according to investigators.

In the incidents, the man would typically walk close to the victims and expose himself on the spot.

Kemper pleaded guilty to five counts of incident exposure with a prior conviction police said.

He will be sentenced May 9. He faces 3 years in prison.
