Officials suspended service Wednesday for about an hour while they investigated an incident in which a Sprinter train struck a pedestrian.
The person was hit by one of the light-rail trains in Oceanside, according to first responders. The incident occurred at about 4:20 p.m. near the intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and Crouch Street, authorities said.
The pedestrian suffered head injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, according to investigators.
Service on the commuter train was interrupted while deputies investigated the incident and restored at about 5:30 p.m.
