With just over a month before the primary election, San Diego's mayoral candidates are vying for votes now more than ever.

We've been following the race for the past several months, but it's time now to get the candidates together for a debate.

NBC 7 San Diego will host a debate for the four major mayoral candidates -- District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, Congressman Bob Filner, Councilman Carl DeMaio and Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher. The debate will air on Monday at 6 p.m. both on our website and on television.

The debate will be moderated by NBC 7 San Diego's Mark Mullen. Three journalists will ask the questions: NBC 7 San Diego's Gene Cubbison and Catherine Garcia and our media partner the Voice of San Diego's Scott Lewis.

Refresh this article around 6 p.m. to watch live on the web. You can join the discussion on our Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #NBCSDDebate. We'll also be posting each question and the candidates' answers to our website after the debate.

Prior to our debate, we asked our social media followers and friends to chime in on some of the issues the candidates may address during the debate, as well as what they still want to hear from the candidates. Here's a collection of responses from over the past several weeks.
