    A man accused of firing multiple gunshots in a Grantville neighborhood was taken into custody Saturday night, according to San Diego police.

    Police said they responded to reports of gunshots at an apartment complex in the 4500-block of Vandever Avenue, near Mission Gorge Road, at around 9:45 p.m.

    Police arrested a man accused of firing multiple gunshots in Grantville Saturday night.

    When officers arrived, a man was reportedly firing shots from one of the complex's second story units. Residents of the complex said the man was also yelling and breaking glass.

    Some residents were evacuated during the shooting; others were instructed to stay on the floor.

    A SWAT team was also called to the scene.

    Around 10:40 p.m., officers were seen leading a naked man to a patrol car. Police later confirmed that man was the shooting suspect.

    Police said the suspect sustained minor, self-inflicted injuries during the incident.

    He was transported to an area hospital, treated for his injuries, and then booked into jail.

    The SDPD's Eastern Division was investigating the incident.
