Gas Leak Reported on SDSU Campus

A gas leak occurred on the campus of San Diego State University Friday.

The Communications building, Hardy Tower, and the Professional Studies & Fine Arts building (PSFA) were evacuated, according to the campus emergency notification system.

All three buildings are located in the heart of the campus, west of College Avenue and north of Montezuma Road.

As of 9:40 a.m., police said the leak had been capped.

No one was injured and the buildings were reoccupied, SDSU officials said.

The leak was caused by construction in the area, according to the university.
