California High Patrol officials are investigating a shooting that occurred on Interstate 5 in Oceanside early Saturday morning.
Few details have been released, but authorities did say that at around 2:30 a.m., a female victim of the shooting drove herself off the I-5 and to a Mobil station at 1407 Mission Ave.
Once she was at the station, a male employee called 911.
Authorities who arrived to the scene said the vehicle the victim was driving tested positive for multiple gun shots.
The female victim was not shot during the incident but was bleeding, possibly from being exposed to shattered glass, officials said.
The victim reportedly declined treatment.
An investigation into the shooting has been turned over to the CHP.
