From The Lorax to Mother Goose – characters will float along the Embarcadero Monday for The Big Bay Balloon Parade.

Crowds will line up along the parade route on Harbor Drive for the parade that begins at 10 a.m. in front of the County Administration building.

If you want to stake a claim for your spot, look south along Harbor Drive to Pacific Highway near Seaport Village. See parade route

The nice thing about this parade is that you only need to look up to enjoy the balloons. So every seat is a good one. However, there are grandstand seats available for $20 each.

Bands from all over the county will perform.

After the parade, you and your family can enjoy a free festival at the Broadway Pier.
