Disney Raising Price for Halloween Parties: Report

The Jack Skellington-inspired decorations at The Haunted Mansion is one of the biggest draws at Disneyland in October.

Here's a scary thought: Disneyland is raising the price for its Halloween parties.

The Orange County Register reports that tickets will go on sale Monday for the special seasonal admission where nighttime guests can dress in costume to dance, enjoy the rides and watch fireworks.

Tickets for the annual Mickey's Halloween Party Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 nights will be $74 -- $5 more than last year.

The park has added additional party nights for a total of 13.

Those dates will cost $59.

The cost of the Halloween parties is in addition to the regular park admission.

Two months ago, the Anaheim park announced it's raising admission prices by 30-percent.

In addition, Southern California resident discounts were suspended.

Last month the park issued a statement saying in part, "A ticket to our theme parks represents a great value, particularly when you look at the breadth and quality of attractions and entertainment we offer, and the special moments guests experience with our cast."
