Grammy nominee Cee-Lo told E! News he is teaming up with the Oscar winner for what E! News reported will be some sort of duet.

Gwyneth Paltrow made a splash covering the censored version of Cee-Lo's late summer hit, "Forget You," on "Glee" a few weeks ago, and now comes word that the two are collaborating.

Grammy nominee Cee-Lo told E! News he is teaming up with the Oscar winner for what E! News reported will be some sort of duet.

"We're actually working on something," the singer told the website. "We've been considering a few things actually."

Cee-Lo added that he wasn't able to reveal the exact nature of their collaboration.

"It's a little too early to commit to a statement and I won't ruin the surprise because whatever we're going to do is going to be extra cool," he said.

While Gwyneth is expected stateside for New Year's Eve (her rep previously confirmed to Access Hollywood she'll be in Las Vegas, where Coldplay are set to perform on Friday night), the actress and singer haven't yet hooked up in an official capacity, it seems.

"Keep your toes crossed," he said when the website asked if fans can expect something soon from the pair.

Less likely, however, might be a Cee-Lo appearance on "Glee." He told E! News that he'd only do the show if they could "keep it real with me" and get a little dirtier.

"If they're ready to go there and get down and dirty, then we got ourselves a deal! I'll do it then," he added.

As for Gwyneth, as previously revealed on AccessHollywood.com, the actress will reprise her role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday in 2011.

"Glee" returns with its first original episode of 2011, following the Super Bowl on Feb. 6 on FOX.
