Chris Thile, shown here performing with Nickel Creek, plays a solo show on Saturday in La Jolla.

San Diego Beer Week is now in motion, so there's lots of stuff to do all over town including Saturday's Brewer's Guild Fest at the Port Pavilion. When that's all wrapped up, music is where it's at and there are some brilliant shows in town, including the amazing music of Nickel Creek's Chris Thile at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla or the awesome music of Gill Landry of Old Crow Medicine Show and Stelth Ulvan of the Lumineers at Soda Bar. Meanwhile, the Casbah hosts the one-year anniversary of Fall Brewing with a free show featuring Mr. Tube, and Bar Pink has free music with Ditches. Elsewhere, Garth Brooks finishes his San Diego stint at Valley View Casino Center, and Music Box hosts a Doors tribute band, Wild Child.
