When I was growing up, my family went through musical phases. As youngsters, my sister and I were more into Top 40 music that would play on San Diego stations like KS103 or B100, while my older brother was exploring 91X as their "cutting edge of rock" format was developing. We eventually followed suit, but on family road trips to Lake Tahoe or Las Vegas, we would all get turns playing cassettes. When we could find artists we all agreed upon, it was a joyous time in the car and a break for our parents from our backseat squabbling. One such band was the Bangles. The girl band seemed to cover a spectrum we could all agree on, and, later, when singer Susanna Hoffs went on to a solo career, we all were still just as interested, perhaps my brother in different ways with his mad crush on her famous eyes. That was a long, long time ago, but it is still nice to see that Hoffs is still touring and you can bet that wwww.anthologysd.com will have some brothers and sisters in the crowd who finally found similar common ground way back when.
