Family Wagon have been making themselves known around San Diego for a while and have finally earned a weekend co-headlining show at the Casbah.

For the first weekend of the year, you certainly have a broad swath of options. On Saturday night, there's a great local lineup at the Casbah, with Family Wagon and Midnight Rivals co-headlining, or you can catch touring act Man/Miracle performing with Beta Lion, among others, at the Tin Can. My ears certainly perked up when I heard Matt Sheridan of the Modlins would be at Cafe Libertalia. The band went on indefinite hiatus when Eric moved to NYC, and Matt will soon follow, so this is an opportunity to send him off with some San Diego love. Over at Lestat's, Josh Damigo has his monthly show and is officially performing with his full band, the Midnight Pound.
On Sunday, local Kenseth Thibideau, perhaps most known for his contributions to Pinback, Three Mile Pilot and Sleeping People, performs his solo material at the Casbah and will be joined by Little White Teeth and Primitive Noyes; or, head over to Soda Bar for a night of Americana with the Bay Area's Kamp Camille, local Jesse LaMonaca and Craig Browning.
Sounds like a solid San Diego weekend to me...
