91x DJ Robin Roth's weekend music picks include New Found Glory at the House of Blues
If you aren’t making the trek to the Ink-n-Iron Festival in Long Beach Friday this weekend to see Offspring, Iggy & the Stooges and Rocket From the Crypt, there are plenty of other options in store for you in San Diego.
Saturday is the kickoff of the San Diego County Fair, so get your fried Twinkie on early because there is'o much going on all over town. Neon Trees are doing an early all-ages benefit show at Vista Murrieta High School Stadium starting at 6 p.m.The concert is a homecoming of sorts for Tyler and Chris of the band. Both of them grew up in Murrieta and formed Neon Trees here. It's also Night III of Sunset Sessions Rock!, with the Boxer Rebellion, Eve to Adam, Acidic and more at the Belly Up. For your dancing fix, Club Sabbat takes over both rooms at Numb3rs in Hillcrest. I’ll be DJing in the front room with Drew Harlander, and Felixx Bloodline will be in the back room. Get more info via this link. At Voyeur, you can check out Destructo -- there’s no cover before 10:30 p.m. with your RSVP here. Plus, the always fun Booty Bassment with DJs Dimitri and Rob at the Whistle Stop. At Spin Nightclub, you can check out Doc Martin.
Have a great weekend and I’ll see you on the dance floor!
